Nike Smart Wear, developed in collaboration with Jade Ramsey, aims to revolutionize athletic clothing by integrating advanced technologies to enhance health and wellbeing. The project focused on creating a futuristic product that informs users about their health as they achieve athletic development goals through the use of app-based and sensor technology. The primary goal was to merge the convenience of wearable tech with the functionality of health monitoring, making it accessible and beneficial for athletes and fitness enthusiasts alike.
The project aimed to develop smart clothing capable of monitoring vital health metrics and athletic performance, integrating these metrics with an app for real-time feedback and data tracking, and designing a user-friendly interface for a wide demographic. Nike Smart Wear combines thermal and kinetic energy-powered sensors with the Nike Run Club (NRC) App, allowing users to track body temperature, calories burned, heart rate, GPS coordinates, and distance, providing comprehensive health and performance insights.

This data is seamlessly transmitted to the NRC App, offering users a real-time, detailed analysis of their health metrics and athletic performance. This blend of wearable technology and mobile app functionality provides a unique and effective way for users to monitor their progress and achieve their fitness goals.
The development of Nike Smart Wear involved extensive research and innovation to ensure the durability and effectiveness of the sensors, even after multiple washes. The design team prioritized the user's needs by creating an intuitive interface that delivers valuable health insights. This user-centric approach ensures that the product not only meets but exceeds user expectations, making health monitoring an integral part of their fitness routine.
