64 inch 4-Light Vintage Quadruple Pendant Fixture
Model # P17224BK
The Vesta project for Bazz Inc. focused on developing innovative, aesthetically pleasing, and highly functional pendant lighting solutions for kitchen islands. My role was to design a fixture that addressed the lack of clear aesthetic direction while achieving product-market fit. This individual project aimed to create a vintage-style, cost-effective lighting solution that reflected current design trends. The final design features a two-part assembly of stamped steel and glass components connected via threads, and a switch from E27 bulbs to G9 LEDs for improved efficiency and ease of use. The result successfully balances vintage aesthetics, affordability, and user convenience.

Developed through market research & iterative design
Market research revealed a strong preference for vintage pendant lighting, with 85% of E27 bulbs used in such fixtures. Common colors were bronze, silver, and black. The design aligns with these trends, using appropriate materials and manufacturing processes. The product is cost-effective, easy to install, and allows simple bulb changes. Now sold through Amazon and Home Depot, it is priced between $130 and $175 USD. Development involved extensive market research, analyzing reviews, sales rankings, and conducting interviews. Iterative design and prototyping refined the product, ensuring it is certified (UL, CSA approved) and market-ready. The focus was on vintage aesthetics, cost-effectiveness, appropriate sizing, and ease of installation.
